Jesse Selengut – band leader Jesse has been playing professionally in New York since the early 1990’s. He received his Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance from New York University in 1992. Jesse is the founder of The Williamsburg Jazz Festival which ran from 2002-2007. He has been a leader and a sideman in a variety of bands of different styles: Modern Jazz, Rock, Folk, Pop, Funk, and Traditional Jazz. He has performed at Lincoln Center, Birdland, Tonic, The Knitting Factory, and CBGB’s, and The Guggenheim Museum to name some highlights. Tin Pan is a working quartet that has over 185 performances a year!! The band generally performs as a quartet but many different combinations of musicians and sounds are possible depending on the context or event.
